The Digital IXUS 200 IS’s stylish two-tone metal body has a solid sculpted feel that’s easy to carry and a pleasure to use. Available in four different colours: silver, brown, purple or blue, there’s one to suit all tastes.

24mm ultra wide-angle 5.0x zoom lens
An ultra-wide 24mm lens is perfect for capturing sweeping landscapes or group shots. At the other end of the range, the 5.0x optical zoom lets you get closer to your subject – ideal for candid portrait shots. Canon’s optical Image Stabilizer delivers blur-free results throughout the zoom range.

12.1 Megapixel CCD
The 12.1 Megapixel CCD captures a wealth of fine detail. Turn images into poster-size prints, or creatively crop images without losing detail.

Widescreen 3.0” PureColor II Touch LCD
The easy-to-use touch-screen display enables intuitive control of numerous camera functions. When shooting, Touch AF enables you to track focus on a subject simply by touching the screen, while easily selectable icons allow changes to the shooting mode, flash settings and exposure. Reviewing images is a breeze - simply drag a finger across the screen to flick through your shots. With Touch Actions, you can quickly access various playback functions via simple on-screen gestures. The PureColor II Touch LCD screen’s wide viewing angle and excellent colour and contrast rendition provides a clear display, even in bright sunlight.

Smart Auto and Shooting Modes
Smart Auto with Scene Detection Technology analyses the shooting scene and determines the settings required for the best possible shot. With 22 scene types detected, great shots can be achieved in any situation. 20 shooting modes include Creative Light Effect - a feature that uses the optical Image Stabilizer to create shapes from points of light in dark scenes.

720p HD movies
Create widescreen (16:9) movies in high definition (1280x720, 30fps) then use the mini HDMI connection for playback on HD TVs.
